Matthew 7:14

2 Chr 20:1-21:3, Matt 7:13-23

 Matthew 7:14 (New International Version)

14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? Did we not read, did we not write Faithful Daily Read in your name? Did we not Sign Up and Serve in your name? Did we not do life together and do church together in your name? Were we not part of Little Saints and Kids Church and Spark and Youth and IGNITE and FUEL and REGEN and the Shed and Creative Connections and Key Mission Communities and Life Groups in your name? Did we not give of our money and our time and our talents in your name? Were we not baptised and married and buried in your name? Were we not faithful and adventurous and compassionate in your name?” Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
